Jyoti Behura

Jyoti Behura is the founder of Seismic Science LLC, and also is a Research Assistant Professor at Colorado School of Mines. Dr. Behura’s education, training, and work experience have revolved around wave propagation, inverse methods, and data processing. He also has a significant interest in rock physics of unconventional reservoirs and has three peer-reviewed publications on this topic. He has written one award-winning paper in Geophysics and has been recognized on multiple occasions for his achievements, including being awarded the J. Clarence Karcher Award by the Society of Exploration Geophysicists in 2012 for his “significant contributions to the science and technology of exploration geophysics as author and researcher.” He was primarily responsible for the successful development of the anisotropic waveform inversion software at BP America Inc. Since then, he has written multiple software programs for seismic data processing and inversion. At Seismic Science LLC, he has developed two end-user-ready and patent-pending technologies that can be run on high-performance computing clusters. Jyoti has extensive experience in processing and imaging microseismic and active seismic data. Since establishing Seismic Science LLC, he has already completed three industry projects processing microseismic data from different geologic basins and one on re-datuming project for different industry clients.

Shaktiman

I am the in-house cluster used for testing parallel codes and for running small jobs. I employ SSDs and 1TB RAM, and run on 144 cores. I run on the awesome Ubuntu and MAAS (thanks Canonical) platform. I work seemlessly with the Google Cloud Platform to get every job done on time. And I love working for the dude to my right…he always challenges me.
